Within Healthy Start, we are working on six substantive ambitions—our core research themes—that together form the foundation for a healthier and more promising life course for children and young people, from early childhood (under 1 year) through young adulthood (21 years). Each theme focuses on a crucial building block for a healthy start: from the first 1000 days and mental resilience to social safety, meaningful participation, lifestyle and behavior, and strengthening the child’s environment. Based on these ambitions, we develop innovative strategies together with young people, parents, and professionals that truly make a difference.
